Scholastic Book Fair: Save 50-80 percent off books and supplies

Did you know that boys lag behind girls in reading proficiency in all 50 states--in some states by as many as 10 percentage points? And did you know that when children are provided with 10-20 self-selected children's books at the end of the regular school year, as many as 50 percent not only maintain their skills, but actually make reading gains?* To help keep reading alive for families in Pierce County, Bates' Marketing and Business Management students have partnered with Scholastic to offer a book fair.

The three-day Scholastic Book Fair will be held Thursday, April 28, and Friday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the South Campus, Building E. You can save 50-80 percent on books and school supplies. Free family activities include story time with Clifford the Big Red Dog, games, prizes and crafts.
