Fantasy Lights presents plaque to Bates

For 14 years, Bates students have crafted resplendent displays for the Northwest's largest drive through holiday lights show, Fantasy Lights. Visitors can find these vibrant holiday fixtures around nearly every bend at Spanaway Park. They include a Harley-riding Santa, playful penguins, frisky elves chasing snowmen through a twinkling evergreen forest, and the always popular Candy Cane Lane--and these are just some of the many displays our students have created over the years.

To help commemorate and recognize the college's contribution to Fantasy Lights, Pierce County Parks Director Kathy Kravit-Smith presented our board with a plaque at the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, March 29. Below is a photo of the board with Kravit-Smith.
