Diversity Coordinator Flores receives multicultural award

Mike Grunwald, chair of the Board of Trustees, presents
a plaque to Kat Flores, ASG/Diversity coordinator.
Our very own Kat Flores, ASG/diversity coordinator, was recently selected by the Washington State Multicultural Student Service Directors Council (MSSDC) to receive the Rhonda Quash Coats Award.

The award is given to someone who has made significant contributions in the area of multicultural student services in Washington’s community and technical college system. The award recognizes Kat’s leadership, advocacy, and pioneering activities on programs and services for students.

MSSDC established the Rhonda Quash Coats award in 2007. Kat was honored at a ceremony held at the Students of Color Conference on April 20, and again at the college's Board of Trustees Meeting on April 24.

Congratulations, Kat!
