Welcome, Dr. Langrell!

tenure as President on July 9.
Today, July 9, Bates welcomes President Ron Langrell to the college community. With more than 30 years of higher education experience in a two-year college setting, Dr. Langrell brings a rich and diverse background of skills in leadership and education. During his long career, he has served as Executive Vice President, Vice President of Instruction, Director of Continuing Education, and more. He currently serves on the national Board of Trustees for the American Technical Education Association.

A native of Roseburg, Ore., Dr. Langrell is no stranger to Washington state. Prior to his last post at a college in Austin, Minn., Dr. Langrell held administrative positions at Walla Walla Community College for 16 years.

"Dr. Langrell has the perfect combination of experience and leadership skills to help Bates build on our long history of success and move confidently into the future," said Mike Grunwald, past chair of the board of trustees.

Please join us as we welcome Dr. Langrell and his family to our college community!
